FOR YOUR GENERAL INFORMATION What is Free-To-Air? Free-To-Air is a completely free and legal system. Free-To-Air channels involve no monthly subscriptions or annual fees. Once you setup your system there are no further expenses. A complete list of available channels are available on www.lyngsat.com.To setup your system you must purchase a receiver with a dish that meets your needs. These systems are plug and play. After aiming your dish to a desired satellite, you plug in the receiver and you'll be watching television. You will also receive hundreds of free radio stations from around the globe. Free-To-Air technology has brought you the ablility to get worldwide channels in the comfort of your own home. Many ethnic channels from China, India, and throughout Europe are also available on Free-To-Air satellites. How to watch up to 4 FTA receivers with one dish: You will need one 3 IN 4 SWITCH per LNB (per satellite). For example, if one LNB points to Galaxy 10, you will need a 3 in 4 Switch just for that LNB. If another LNB on the dish is pointing to Telestar 5, you will need another 3 in 4 switch for that LNB.
You will need one Disecq4 switch per receiver. For example, if you wanted to have 4 Techsat receivers in your home, you would require 4 disecqs for the job.
The diagram below represents the most complicated setup - 4 different LNB signals to 4 different receivers. If you only had 2 different LNBs, you would require only 2 "3 in 4 switches". Essentially, each 3 in 4 switch splits the LNB signal into 4 separate signals. And of course, each receiver that receives multiple signals requires a disecq to do so. So remember, the 3 in 4 switch is married to the LNB, and the diseqc is married to the receiver. |
